It has been a relatively quiet week for Tonbridge AC highlights. Perhaps top of the pile was a 200 metres race at the Medway and Maidstone Open Meeting, on Saturday. Lucas Cameron came from behind to win a close battle with Tom Daly over 200 metres, as they recorded 21.93 and 21.95, respectively. Both were inside Anton Bachorski’s Tonbridge under 20 men’s record of 22.05. Lucas Cameron is still in the under 18 age group, so broke that record aswell, which was also Bachorski’s 22.05.
On Friday evening, Purdey Hutchings won the women’s race at the Rye Summer Series 5k, whilst on Thursday evening Verity Hopkins was 5th in the women’s race at the Run the Wharf 5k in London, in 16.54.
On Sunday, James West ran 13.55 when finishing 14th at the New Balance International Road Race Meeting, at Dusseldoorf, Germany.
