Stage 3 Awards Winners

Sam Crick (senior)

Sam has been doing podcasts for what seems like ages. He has continued throughout lockdown and has talked to a variety of athletes. He gives them a chance to talk, is well prepared and asks good questions and also has fun. The interviewees seem to open up to him and you get a different view of them. They discuss running but also haircuts,  different advice they have been given and how they feel about their sport.

Have you to listened to any of his Podcasts? They are well worth a listen and they could give you ideas. You could listen on your run, they will make you smile.

The podcast is called Crickcastpod – https://uk-podcasts.co.uk/podcast/crickcastpod?cmpredirect

Harrison Fraser (under 15)

Organising to train with others in his age group, using WhatsApp and trying to keep others motivated. Harrison has kept this going through the last 10 months.

2nd nomination

I’d like to nominate Harrison Fraser for a TAC award.

He always asks if anyone wants to run and Is always up for a run whenever I ask.
He is always prepared with a route for us to run. He is a great organiser and has got a lot of us running since the first lock down and kept us all motivated.

Nicky Buckwell (W65)

Nicky has followed the training schedule religiously throughout lockdown, feeding back times to me at least twice a week. She has managed to maintain a three session a week cycle and has hunted down suitable venues to do her sessions (as one becomes flooded or fenced off). She has even kept the group notified of current weather conditions and conditions underfoot so others can plan sessions accordingly.

Part 2

Nicky continues to train at various venues around Tonbridge and has managed to stay motivated despite the weather and regular flooding of her preferred training grounds.

I have been very impressed by her attitude throughout these lockdowns and she has been in regular contact with other members of the group to offer support.
