Fast 5k times from Tonbridge athletes at Mallory Park
Three Tonbridge Athletic Club members ran personal bests at the Mallory Park 5k Festival on Sunday. The event took place around the motor racing circuit, which provided a secure area where all competitors followed Covid 19 procedures, including split start times in small groups.
Alasdair Kinloch finished 4th overall reducing his personal best by one second to 14.23, whilst Kiri Marsh was 14th in a very strong women’s line up. Marsh recorded 16.54, a 21 seconds improvement on her previous best time. Stuart Brown finished 18th overall, when slicing 26 seconds from his best, set just three weeks ago, as he recorded 14.49.
Also, on Sunday, the Woodchurch 5 miles road race took place near Ashford, where Steve Strange and Dan Bradley finished 2nd and 3rd in 25.57 and 25.59, respectively. The race was won by Ashford’s Louis Small in 25.28.
