Tonbridge Athletic Club held their annual Boxing Day handicap race, at Judd School’s Vizards Sportsfields, where almost one hundred starters raced over a muddy five kilometres long course. The first starters went off twelve minutes ahead of the final competitor, James Kingston, with others starting at various intervals.

The eventual winner was Jolyon Head, who had started a minute and a half after the first runners and had already taken the lead before one of the two laps had been completed. His actual time over the extremely muddy course was 24.14. Tom Rule ran 19.41, when finishing exactly a minute behind, whilst Ben Bawtree just beat his brother Toby for third place, as both recorded 17.39.

The overall fastest individual times were recorded by James Kingston (15.33), Alex Howard (16.06) and Jamie Goodge (16.47), whilst the fastest females were Katie Goodge (20.05), Sophie Preston (20.17) and Annabelle Hales (20.56).
