Alan Newman and Sue James got married on Monday 14th December after a 31 year engagement !
It was also Sue’s 70th birthday so she moves up an age group.
These two great supporters of the veterans/masters scene at the club and internationally chose to get married in their GB kit !
Alan coaches and organises the Adult Development and Masters distance runners at TAC.

It absolutely made my day to meet Sue & Alan (and their lovely running buddy and marriage witness) this morning. I saw them doing their post-run stretches outside David Lloyd and they looked so professional in their matching GB garb and curiosity got the better of me……as it often does……so I approached them!
I was delighted to find out that it was Sue’s 70th birthday …….but an even bigger, more marvellous surprise to find they’d just got married minutes earlier!
Made me beam and has kept me smiling all day :-D.
